Upcoming tour: Rain Gardens in North Delta - lead by Deborah Jones of Cougar Creek Streamkeepers (our speaker from October 2024). Meeting time: Saturday, April 26, 10:30 am at Ladner bus loop (or 11 am at Cravings Coffee Shop - 11146 84 Ave. (84 Ave and 112 St, North Delta)). Time commitment: 90 minute walk plus extra if you want to join us for lunch at the coffee shop. This walking tour continues rain or shine (and may actually be better if it’s raining). We will explore this non-profit organization’s urban gardens that provide 3 important solutions

-improved moisture and water into the groundwater to reduce salinity in farmland on the floodplains and provide more moisture for local forests
